Weekend Getaway

I am a little late posting these pictures...Bryon was sick and I didn't realize how hard it is taking care of two people.
Two weeks ago we went to Prescott to spend the weekend with my grandparents. We were hoping there would still be snow but it had already melted by the time we got there. It worked out nice though because we were able to go to the square and walk around for a little while. It was a beautiful 53 degrees and sunny.
We had a great time with my grandparents, we played tri-ominoes and polish poker...grandma or grandpa won every time! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all so good! Grandma spoiled us and made me banana bread to take home and oatmeal cake for Bryon.
Calvin rolled and rolled all over their living room. He found the tv and loved trying to press the buttons on the dvd player. He even found a little fort to play under. While feeding Calvin his pears we found two little surprises! Calvin's two bottom teeth!!

I just want to play...

Mia didn't want to play as badly as Calvin did. Yes, we were about to have a diaper change but decided playing was more fun. He doesn't always wear his clothes like that :)

6 Months Old!

Calvin turned 6 months old yesterday! Where has the time gone? I took Calvin for his well check yesterday and he weighed in at 20 lbs 13oz!! He was 28.25 in. Calvin had a huge growth spurt from his 4 month check up, he gained over 5 pounds and grew over 3 inches. The doctor did say we needed to stop feeding him when he wakes up in the middle of the night. He said, "look at him, I think he will be fine!"
Katie and Mia came over in the afternoon and played. We went for a nice walk and then they both crashed when we got back. I got a video of Calvin and Mia playing on the floor, which I hope to post soon. I missed a lot of Mia talking in the video but she would talk to Katie, Katie would talk back, and then Calvin would laugh. It was so cute.

Calvin enjoys:
* his teddy bear- it always brings a smile to his face
* our cell phone- he likes to chew on it and look at the picture slide show
* waking up in crazy positions in his crib
* rolling over...we find him across the room now
* books- he gets so excited when you read to him
* oh yeah and food! - we are going to try stage 2 foods soon

Our Little Thrill-Seeker

On a recent walk we learned how much Calvin enjoyed a good thrill. I let the stroller roll down the driveway (just a little bit) and as it spun around I caught it. I thought it may have scared him but that thought quickly passed as we heard him squeal in delight.

Bryon was keeping Calvin happy the other night because I had a migraine. I heard laughing in the kitchen and went to see what was so fun. This is what I saw...

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Calvin and I picked up Bryon from work Friday and headed out to Superior for a weekend of fun. After dinner Mike, Troy, and Bryon were in charge of making the goodie bags. They went over and over how to make the bags so everyone would have close to the same amount.




Saturday Mike and Tawnya had Jaxon's second birthday party at the arboretum. It was a little chilly but we all had a great time. Calvin looked so cute all bundled up. After the party, family went back to their house for more fun.





Jaxon did great with Calvin. He would bring Calvin all of the big toys and lay them around Calvin for him to play with. He was so sweet! Calvin reached out and got Jaxon's foot tickling him in the process so I told Jaxon to tickle Calvin back. Cavlin laughed and then Jaxon laughed...it was the cutest thing! (I wish I got a picture of it)
