More Birthday Celebrations!

Bryon's Grandparents' birthdays are April 26 & 27. Grandma Young turns 80 this year! We went to spend the day with them along with Troy, Alison, and Connor. (It was his birthday too) We played cards and Grandpa watch the Suns game.

We went to Olive Garden for dinner! I was so happy they chose it. Calvin did great and was entertained by dropping every toy off the table and watching Mommy pick it back up just to do it all over again.

Poor Connor fell asleep in the car and stayed alseep almost the whole time. He woke up at the very end of the meal...but still managed to get a cup of olives to go :)

Happy Birthday Connor!

Our nephew Connor turns 3 tomorrow! Last weekend they had his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. We all had a really good time and Calvin even got tokens from Aunt Alison and Uncle Troy to play on the rides. Calvin loves watching his big cousin.

The Zoo!

Calvin's first trip to the Phoenix Zoo! We had a blast with Aunt Katie, Mia, Aunt Alison, & Connor. Connor called me back this morning and told me they were able to join us. Aunt Alison and Connor were wonderful guides around the zoo.

Who knew the construction was just as exciting as the animals. While Connor watched, Calvin wiggled to all of the loud noise.

Of course we have to eat at the zoo!!



The elephants were out eating when we saw them on our way out. Earlier in the morning they were still sleeping. Calvin enjoyed watching them...or at least I think he did.

Laundry Helper

Calvin loves to army crawl his way through all of the nicely folded laurndry and then help me by unfolding everything. This time I started tossing socks at him so I could keep my folded laundry. Calvin quickly put the socks in his mouth. (He really likes chewing on fabric lately...we do have teething toys.) When I saw how cute he was, I of course grabbed my camera and we started to have some fun. His two bottom teeth are coming in great. He also has two on top that are starting to show more and more. We call them his snaggle teeth because we are still waiting for the top front two to cut through.

Waving, Scooting, and so much more!

Calvin turned 8 months on the 9th and we have had so much to celebrate! With the great news from the doctor to waving, scooting, holding his own bottle, big smiles, laughs, and high fives. Calvin has really impressed us lately. He enjoys watching the beginning to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He gets a huge grin on his face and then starts wiggling with the music. (He's a Bewley!)

I have been working with Calvin on waving for a while now. We started learning how to wave by watching the Today show and waving to all the people who stood out on the plaza. Bryon and I saw him "wave" to a person who walked by at church and we both said it was just a random hand movement...well little did we know he picked it up a week later. Calvin loves to wave at us when we are around the house.




We officially have a mover on our hands. Calvin has learned how to scoot! He was getting frustrated so I gave him a little incentive to get him moving! He loves the remote. (I just noticed all the laundry that was sitting on the floor...don't mind the mess. If you can't find Calvin he is on the blanket ) :)

Easter

Here are a few pictures from Easter. We went to church in the morning. (The parent's lobby was packed, but Calvin loved watching the kids and entertaining the family behind us.)
The Easter Bunny found his way to our house this year. Mrs. Bunny found a remote, teething toys, and a cute chick. He loves the remote...it now goes where ever we go.

After church we went to the Jeffery's house to have lunch with the family. We of course had to take pictures of Calvin with some eggs around him.

Later we did a photo scavenger hunt. Last year we did one but with all of the crazy driving, we did a point system this year and were given 1 hour to get as many pictures as we could off of the list. Bryon's parents spent the day with us and were in our group for the scavenger hunt.

(We had to spell out a word with our bodies...can you tell the word was yolk?)

Update on Calvin

After what seemed like the longest 30 days, we went to see Dr. Adelson yesterday, Calvin's neurologist, and he gave us great news! Calvin's head circumference was the same as last month! He now wants to see us in two months and pushed off the MRI since Calvin stayed the same. Bryon and I felt so much weight lifted off of our shoulders. We don't have a clean bill of health yet from the doctor but this is great progress. It was the best news we could have received yesterday. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. Please continue to think of Calvin and pray that is body figures things out on its own.
