Buzz Cut

I never thought I would give Calvin a buzz cut at a year and a half. He really needed a hair cut and was on the verge of having a mini mullet. Daddy was on board as long as it wasn't too short and I agreed, so we showed Calvin the clippers to see how he would react and he did fine. Once the clippers touched his hair that was a different story. We stopped half way to give Calvin a break from screaming but figured we better just get it over with. In the end we really like his hair cut.

Yard Work

We got to do one of Calvin's favorite things this weekend, follow Daddy around outisde. Calvin loves helping Bryon with the yard work. Calvin was a great helper, he moved  things for Daddy and even mowed the yard with his own mower. When Bryon mows the yard we have to play in  another area, loud noises are scary for Calvin, but as soon as Daddy turns it off he is right next to Bryon again.

Our big 18 month old!

I can't believe Calvin turns 18 months old today! I don't know where the time has gone! Our baby is now a toddler. Calvin is developing such a great personality. He is trying hard to talk ALL the time. He is such a joy to be around. He leaves me and Bryon laughing all the time at his actions and facial expressions. Cal is such a ham and hams it up even more once people laugh or smile at him.

As a big 18 month old
* Calvin can say, please "eeze", thanks/thank you, cheese (which is ironic since he is allergic to it), shoes, hold on, yes, hello/hi, bye bye, love you, and all kinds of animal sounds
* he tries to count things
* he only uses "big boy" cups as we call them. No more bottles!
* weighs in around 29 pounds
* he is starting to try to run
* still loves to dance
* belly laughs at Tom & Jerry  (The more they hurt / chase each other the harder he laughs)
* loves following around Daddy outside
* loves to wrestle
