A glimpse of July

Happy 4th of July!

We went to Katie and Nick's house for a afternoon of fun. Unfortunately Bryon got held up on a warrant that didn't get him home until 10 pm.

We are potty training!! Calvin informed me that he no longer wanted to wear diapers but the Buzz and Woody pull-ups that were passed down to him from Cousin Connor. It is a very slow process but he is trying (most days). The other day I asked him why he peed on Buzz,  he said "Monny I play toys"

It has been so hot lately that we are trying to keep ourselves entertained inside. We have been going to the library this summer and Calvin loves how you can check out Thomas the Train movies. He of course still loves his books and requests fire truck books or construction truck books when we go.

What did they do to my hair?!

I never thought I would have given my child a buzz haircut before they turned 3 months old! Caden had such bad cradle cap that by the time I got rid of it, I took most of his hair with it. He was rocking a very nice cul de sac and then had the normal side and back balding going on. It was time to do something  with his hair but I wasn't sure I wanted to buzz it. My mom tried to cut it and that was just horrible so Bryon got out the clippers. The top picture says everything about what Caden may have been thinking about the experience. Although he really enjoyed the clippers and seemed to be quite relaxed by it.

 

All done and the only one to cry was Mommy
