Caden has become one happy baby the past few weeks. Caden's tummy has been put through a lot the past two months. Around the 1 month mark, we saw small things in his mannerisms that reminded of us of how Calvin acted. We talked to the doctor and decided to mix in a little formula to see if he just wasn't tollerating my breast milk. I watched what I ate and cut out a lot of dairy and there was still something that was triggering an irratiblitiy. The formula seemed to give him more relief so we tried a sensitive formula. In the mix of all of this, Caden was battling constipation issues. We went back to the doctor two times after trying at home remidies to have him go to the bathroom. After talking again to the doctor we decided that hypoallergenic formula would be the next best step. Caden was still showing signs of an allergy but there was never blood in his stool. Instead of getting to that point, if ever there would have been blood, we decided to try it out. Well what do you know, Caden became calm and happy! All constipation issues are gone as well. We will find out when we start to introduce food if an allergy is present.
Caden is nothing like his big bother in the weight department. He is one long and lean little boy! He is slowly starting to get chubby again. We are thinking with the formula and now finally being comfortable he may put on a few pounds. At his 2 month check up he weighed 10.2 pounds.
